Continue rom-com story Ha. Ha. That'd be nice.
Read three books in my to-be-read pile. I started two books from my pile and they sucked so I reread The Hobbit and read Bridget Jones's Diary andThe Rise of Kyoshi. So I still read three, but my pile of to-be-read books remains large and in charge.
-I have two long freelance projects that'll take me all month to finish. My only writing goal is to keep The Golden Girls blog going. I don't want to fall behind on my weekly updates like I did with my recommendation Mondays.
-Try to actually read something out of the pile.

I have created a page for writing services. I'll ghostwrite, punch up, critique your story. Pop on over for details on what I offer.

If you took my advice so many weeks ago and played the Dragon Age games, you should know go out and read the World of Thedas books. The books take the history the games set up and bring it to the next level. The history of the Blight is expanded. The history of mages, the imperium, and Andraste paint a vivid picture that becomes the background for the games.

It's like Phantom of the Opera, only better because it takes place in Discworld. Witches, ghosts, opera, and Agnes Nitt, who is underrepresented in these books. Plus, any book with the Witches is always delightful. Nanny is filthy, Granny is pragmatic, Agnes is reluctant. And Greebo the cat transforms into a man describes a "sex on legs."

Sometime around June 4th or 5th I realized I didn't update my goals and was like "well, it's already too late. June'll just be a wash." Yes, I was that lazy about it.
Continue editing April’s WIP. Ha nope. I just got tired of it. I like it, but just not right now. Doom and gloom all day everyday wasn't working out. I worked on something much, much sillier instead, more on that below.
Read something to the end. I read Kindred and The Poppy War, among some other stuff over the last two months. Right now, my reading slump is over....? I guess, for the moment.
-My day job is the devil and I hate it and working on anything remotely serious is just not happening. Instead I've been working on a medieval rom-com and I am going to continue to do so. It's delightful and there is much blacksmithing to be had. I've been taking on some freelance work that cuts heavily into my own work, so I'm not tying myself down with a word count. I mean, I'm sure that well will run dry eventually, but for now I do my own stuff when I can. I do want to finish it before I go back to school in September though.
-Speaking of freelance work... I'm trying to get my work out there and I'm on fiverr these days to make a little extra cash. So if you need or know someone who needs/wants something written (ghostwritten), look me up. KatieRoman606. As Geoffrey Chaucer in A Knight's Tale said "For a penny I’ll scribble you anything you want. From summons, decrees, edicts, warrants, patents of nobility. I’ve even been known to jot down a poem or two if the muse descends." (disclaimer I suck at poetry and I charge slightly more than a penny)
-I have a stack of books next to my bed to read before school starts. I think 12 at last count? This is not counting a few books on hold at the library. I'm striving to read three before July ends. It's madness, but one of those books is a comic book and is like 50 pages. Loopholes, yo!

I've added a new section to this website called Shady Pines, Ma. I've started a new blog to recap and discuss The Golden Girls. I plan to go through all 180 episodes each Sunday and welcome everyone to join the discussion. Follow the link at the top of the page to get in on the fun!
